Sonja describes her inspirations

I can't remember ever not being an artist. Inheriting my love of art from my father, I started out at an early age experimenting with various media. From the food on my dinner plate and crayons as a child to drawing, painting, photography, and ceramics later, art has always been a great part of my everyday life.

I enjoy knowing that my creations will be around for years and will be passed down for generations. I love working from clients' photos, stories, or other point of inspiration to incorporate something or someone meaningful into a piece. From a favorite landscape to a loved one, I can create a piece of art that will be memorable for you.

My favorite themes are whimsical characters in bright, contrasting colors that make you think of the humorous, lighter side of life. Book-reading fish, cats drinking martinis, and realistic insects are just some of the things that have appeared in my work. Let art add a smile to your day!
